Mobile phone coverage and mobile data coverage we all understand varies quite a bit and it’s not just Federal that has challenges with its 3G or 4G phone signal and data speeds. Landscape and large structures block signals, so if you are in the shadow of a hill or large structure then the signas you get may be bounced and not direct. Federal is hilly with many trees and low spots that can inhibit 3G or 4G phone and data signal.
David carries several different 3G and 4G mobile phone and mobile data antennas on board to find the best one for your home. 3G and 4G Mobile Phone and mobile Data Antennas in Federal is not a one type fits all situation. It can be a case of choosing the mobile phone or data antenna that best suits where you are. It could be different to next door because of possible obstructions between you and the transmitter. It is always better to check.
Less 3G and 4G Repeater Towers around Federal
Given our country is so large, the economics of setting up 3G and 4G repeaters to cover areas with relatively low populations is just not worth it. So the engineers try to cover the most area for 3G and 4G with as few towers as they can.
Because they cannot afford to pepper Federal with mobile phone and data repeaters when we live in a fringe signal area we either learn to live with it or we do something about it. And do something about it we can.
By installing an external 3G or 4G aerial or antennas you can increase your signal which in turn usually means better phone calls or better data speeds. The caveat is that you must be able to get at least one bar of signal outside your home to start with.
Is it Better Mobile Phone Use or Data You Want?
This is a serious question. I mean you may say that you want both to be able to use your mobile phone for calls in and around your home and you also want better mobile data.
Maybe you’ve experienced this also……
You are getting a few bars of 4G and your calls are ok but when you check your Facebook or try Googling the search just stalls or is so slow. It’s confusing right?
I mean…you have 3 bars, so why is it so slow or not moving at all?
Data and Phone Signals…There’s a Difference
In simple terms it is because it is like data and voice are on two different streams of information flow. What this means to you living in Federal is that if you want better phone signal for conversations in and around your home you will need an external antenna installed with its cable connected into a special signal booster and then another local antenna installed to retransmit the signals.
Basically you may need a mini repeater set up for your home. These really work a treat. BUT this will not help your mobile data. To help improve your mobile data your mobile phone will either need to have an external antenna socket or you will need to place it in a mobile phone holder with an antenna induction loop in it. But generally speaking it’s best to get a 3G or 4G WiFi Modem for data.
For Better Mobile Phone Signals At Home Or in The Office There Is Another Way
Ok, so Federal has many areas of low 3G and 4G mobile phone signal and low data speed. If you install external antennas to connect to your mobile wifi modem to increase your data speed you can actually get your mobile phone calls via your WiFi modem through its data. It is called Voice over LTE. So your phone calls are routed through your modem.
Some mobile phones like the iPhone have the option in their settings.
Settings>Mobile Data>Wi-Fi Calling set to “on”
It’s probably best to try this method first via your wifi modem to save yourself having to install a mobile booster at around $1,000 plus its associated equipment.
If you live in a 3G or 4G Black Spot Area of Federal Iwire Antennas can do an external signal test for you. It could be that you may be using one carrier but the other main carrier will work in Federal. It is not a case of theorising, one must actually test the signals with the appropriate high gain 3g and 4G mobile phone and mobile data antennas.
Mobile phone carriers are always upgrading their network and adding more towers so it is not a static thing. And your location can make a huge difference to your ability to gain better mobile data or phone use in Federal.
