Better 3G 4G Wireless Data for Your Home
In Australia today we have numerous ways in how we could get our fix of online data. We have the blessed NBN being rolled out by means of cable or via wireless and even satellite. But sometimes even these options don’t fair well in actuality. Many try NBN and get fed up with it and then look to 3G or 4G wireless where they know they can get way faster data speeds more reliably. But often the challenge is then how to get a better 3G or 4G wireless signal to help increase the speed of your data for home.
In some areas 3G or 4G transmission towers are few and far between. Outside your home you may find one or two bars of signal but as soon as you go inside, you lose all signal. Then the challenge is how to get the signal inside your home where you actually will need the data. Whether you’re wanting to stream Netflix or check out Youtube or actually do online work, you need fast data.
By installing external high gain directional 3g and 4G antennas we can help bring the signals into your home via special low loss cable that will then connect into your WiFi modem.
The better WiFi modems have two antenna input slots. Using two strategically placed antennas aimed and angled correctly will ensure the best signal flow and performance. Please keep in mind though you will need to have at least one bar of signal outside your home for the installed high gain 3G or 4G antennas to do their work. Basically, if there’s no signal then no matter how good your high gain antenna is, it won’t be able to create signal when there isn’t any.
When we are called to do a site visit before we come out it is important to tell us what network 3G or 4G provider you are with. Generally speaking Optus and Telstra are best in the Northern Rivers and SEQ regional areas.
When we arrive at your home we do a sweep signal tests to find the best carrier of Telstra or Optus and then set up the wireless external 3G 4G high gain antennas accordingly. We then run the cables to the position where the WiFI modem will be situated in your home…or close to it.
The outcome will be a signal strength of at least three bars and often four or five along with faster data speeds too.
DO YOU WANT TO IMPROVE YOUR MOBILE PHONE SIGNALS?
Maybe it is mobile phone signal you need boosting? We can help you with that also at your home…again provided there is at least one bar of signal strength outside your home.
We can set you up with a system that becomes a repeater station. Through installing a high gain 3G or 4G antenna and cabling it indoors to either a mobile phone induction holder or to an indoor signal booster.
What will you need to boost your mobile phone signal?
To give you the ability to roam around your home using your mobile phone it’s best to have the installation consists of:
1 x external antenna orientated to the closest mobile phone tower
1x antenna mount for tiles or metal roof
1x lead-in cable to connect between the antenna and the booster
1x signal booster
1x internal antenna
1x power supply
All these parts are very specific for mobile phone transmission and the quality of the connections and parts are of utmost importance to your mobile phone signal boosting to work.
ONLY AUTHORISED BOOSTERS ARE LEGAL
The signal booster itself is something that is authorised and distributed by the mobile phone carriers to distributors and installers. If you have a Telstra mobile then you need a specific mobile phone signal booster that has come from Telstra. If you have an Optus mobile then the mobile signal booster must come from Optus.
There are cheapie ones on the market being sold illegally and are not authorised or tested by the carriers. Every mobile phone booster has like a signature and can be tracked and traced. It is not worth the risk of copping a huge fine for using unauthorised equipment on the mobile phone network.
